| Nigel Armstrong has appeared as soloist with the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Orchestra of Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, and the Norwegian Radio Orchestra. He has also performed with various orchestras in California, including the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra, the Burbank Philharmonic, the Downey Symphony Orchestra, and the American Philharmonic of Sonoma County, and in Nevada with the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to these, he serves as concertmaster of the American Youth Symphony Orchestra. Although classical music is Mr. Armstrong’s passion, he also enjoys exploring different traditions of musical expression, such as jazz, fiddle, and tango. In 2000, he received Second Prize in the Waltz Division of the Cloverdale Old Time Fiddle Contest in California. |
