Next Tchaikovsky competition: a tale of two cities
Next year’s Tchaikovsky Competition, number 14 since inception, will be not confined to the Russian capital Moscow. It will be held in two cities instead, with Moscow hosting the contests of pianists and cellists, and St. Petersburg - the contests of violinists and vocalists.
2011 laureates to be managed by international agencies
For the first time in its history the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition will collaborate with three distinguished artist management agencies to organize three-year concert engagements for its laureates both in Russia and abroad. The Moscow Philharmonic Society together with competition Chairman, Valery Gergiev, will organize winners tours in Russia, Opus 3 Artists in North and South America and Intermusica will arrange tours for the rest of the world

The Online Application Form is now available for. The deadline for submitting an application is December 1, 2010 at midnight. All applications will be submitted to preselection juries in January and February and chosen competitors will be announced March 1, 2011.
